Certifying a Case

Cases can be certified by qualified personnel to confirm their accuracy and quality. In search results, certified cases appear before non-certified cases, and they are marked with a green checkmark icon:

The identity of the person who certified the case appears at the bottom of the case, under "Additional Details":

Depending on your institution's teaching file certification policy, your administrator may be able to grant you Certifier privileges. If you have been assigned the role of Certifier, you will see a "Certify" link on the right side of the title bar of every non-certified case:

After reviewing the case to determine its accuracy and quality, if you decide to certify the case, simply click the Certify link and then confirm your intent to certify the case by clicking CERTIFY:

The case will now appear as certified to all users who view it. If the case is ever edited, the certification status will reset to uncertified.

If a certified case is edited, it loses its certification status. Depending on the policy configured by your system administrator, owernship of certified cases may be automatically transferred away from the author to preserve certification status.
