Emailing Images from GE Centricity Workstation

Before adding images to a case, you need to save them as files on your hard drive. This describes how to email images to yourself from a GE Centricity workstation. In order to use this feature, it must be enabled on your workstation. If it is not enabled, please ask your PACS administrator for assistance.

  1. Open the series of images of interest, and click on the single image of interest.
  2. Under the "Exam Functions" drop-down menu, select "Send Exams", and a new window will open up.
  3. Under the first "Method" drop-down menu, select "Email."
  4. Export the "Selected Images".
  5. Select the "Format". JPEG file works well.
  6. Click on the small envelope icon to the left of the "Image Prefix" bar, and a new window will open up.
  7. Enter your email account and hit the "Send" button.
  8. Check your email. When the email arrives, save the attachment to your hard drive.
  9. Remember where you saved the image file: you will need to locate it when you add the image to a case .
