Using the Web Application
No Software to Install
The Teaching File Manager is a pure browser-based application, requiring no software other than a standard web browser. The application works best with the latest version of Internet Explorer or Netscape. If you have an older browser running, ask your systems administrator to upgrade your installation to the latest major release.
Easy to Use
If you know how to surf the web, then you already know how to use this sytem. Simply click on the Cases tab at the top of any page to see a list of anatomy categories. Click on a category to see a list of pathology subcategories. In this way, you can drill down to a list of cases. You can also perform a search to retrieve cases by keyword or other parameter.
Runs on Any Platform
The application runs equally well on a PC or a Macintosh.
Firewall Protected
This server is only accessible from behind the firewall. Access is restricted to computers that are physically located on the institution's intranet, or to computers that are connected via a Virtual Private Network (VPN). If you would like to access this system from home, please contact your systems administrator about setting up a VPN connection.
Anonymous Use
You don't need to be logged in to browse or search for public cases. However, if you want to access protected cases, or create your own cases and folders, you need to sign up for an account.
Not a Medical Device
This system is not a medical device, and is intended to be used for educational and reference purposes only. By using this system, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of use, which precludes using this system for the diagnosis of disease or other conditions, or in the cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease, in humans or animals.
