Before adding images to a case, you need to save them as files on your hard drive. This describes how to email images to yourself from a GE Centricity workstation. In order to use this feature, it must be enabled on your workstation. If it is not enabled, please ask your PACS administrator for assistance.
- Open the series of images of interest, and click on the single image of interest.
- Under the "Exam Functions" drop-down menu, select "Send Exams", and a new window will open up.
- Under the first "Method" drop-down menu, select "Email."
- Export the "Selected Images".
- Select the "Format". JPEG file works well.
- Click on the small envelope icon to the left of the "Image Prefix" bar, and a new window will open up.
- Enter your email account and hit the "Send" button.
- Check your email. When the email arrives, save the attachment to your hard drive.
- Remember where you saved the image file: you will need to locate it when you add the image to a case .
